Unlike most weapons Lilith simply added to her collection, she decided to modify/customize Fenrir’s chains for whatever reason. Lilith’s modified Gleipnir can take the shape of a black ribbon, a metal chain or a black leather whip at Takako’s whim. The weapon behaves differently in its different forms:

• In Ribbon Form, control of Gleipnir requires no manual skill (is independent of Takako’s Dexterity stat), but is a function of her mental ability to project her will into the weapon’s algorithm (Reality/Data Manipulation). With Takako’s unmatched ability to manipulate data, Gleipnir can move with nanometric precision, chasing its target no matter where it tries to escape to, growing ever longer and longer at her command until it captures the target and traps it in an unbreakable hold.
• In Chain Form, the chain can now disassemble to allow the individual links to move autonomously. This remote manipulation of so many objects is extremely complex, demanding a high Reality Manipulation score. The links themselves can used to attack as sharp flying blades. Furthermore, pairs of groups of single links can be connected by immaterial “ropes” of vile energy which also harm on touch. This means that Gleipnir in this form can be used as a “prison-type” as well as a “binding-type” restriction tool.
• In Whip Form, Gleipnir is no longer a physical (spatial) binding tool. Instead, those of lesser power than Lilith struck by the whip are affected by an Enchantment which urges them to submit themselves to her.

In all three forms, Lilith’s modified Gleipnir now possesses the Anti-Angel attribute, meaning its effects are especially harmful to denizens of Heaven. In Lilith’s hands, this also includes Archangels, even those who are also Aspects of God.
