The Old Age of Mankind (9900 BC – 25 AC)
Note: the Short chronology is used to establish dates for events in the ancient Near East.
- 9900 BC: Having become “mostly” human, Eve-Sophia decides that their best way to make up for what she had done was, precisely, to keep doing it. Their incarnations had lost most of their Supernal power, so it was deemed safe to improve the biological quality of humanity’s existent races with Adam’s genome without fear of creating Nephilim and/or demons.
- Eve-Sophia selects approximately 1450 women from all of Earth’s races and presents them to Adam to gift them with his seed. Adam rejects Sophia’s suggestion, claiming that Adam Kadmon will not have any other woman but his three wives. In the end, Adam’s genetic contribution would occur via his descendants, who did mix with the world’s different races.
- 9877 BC: To eradicate the existence of Nephilim before their numbers become too great, the “controlled” extermination of current civilization is approved. Gabriel, who acted as Adam’s and Eve’s guardian in the Garden of Eden, was appointed for this task, but Michael relieved her of this responsibility. While the extermination did involve a lot of water (it was done by Michael), it was far from a “worldwide” deluge.
- A group of Beni Elohim led by the Watcher, Dobriel, challenged Gabriel to stop her from slaying their progeny, the Nephilim, unaware that Michael had taken the job. After a cruel battle, Gabriel defeated the rebels and threw them in Hell, where they were quickly corrupted into Fallen Angels. The exception was Dobriel, whom was condemned to a state of constant Incarnation (similar to Lilith), unable to return to Heaven, and stripped of most of his Supernal power.
- 9900 – 3500 BC: A bored Lilith roams the world throughout her Incarnations, appalled by the “slow” development of human civilization after Adam and Eve’s failure. Trying to guess where the next great center of development will appear, she is drawn towards Mesopotamia, where she witnesses the invention and development of writing.
- 9124 BC: Eve-Sophia passes away at the age of 926. Adam follows her a few years later.
- On his return to Paradise, the Hierarchy quickly moves to impose the decided punishment. Shekinah decides to share Sophia’s misery and also denies herself to joy of being with her husband. To allow his wives to roam Paradise freely, Adam decides to seclude himself within Lilith’s former prison, where nobody will ever meet him.
- Adam submerges himself in deep meditation, attempting to understand himself, his powers, and his mistakes. By doing this, he slowly begins to unlock wholly new dimensions of ability he did not know he had.
- 5300 – 2900 BC: Birth and development of the Sumerian pantheon.
- Lilith slays the young goddess Ninlil and usurps her identity, solely to mess with the fledging human civilization. She also assumes the role of Lilith becomes Lilitu, the “Hand of Inanna”, though with her deeds she gains several different associations.
- Sophia also incarnated sporadically during these times, offering small but valuable contributions to the Neolithic cultures of China.
- At some point during the 5th millennium BC, Shekinah and Raphael together inspire the invention of beer brewing.
- ~5000 BC: Adam emerges from his meditation, as an enlightened being, even more so that he was before. He has understood just how little he knew about himself and about the Reality he lives in. He has become a new, greater being, but he knows he is not yet the glorious, supreme being everybody believes he is. He swears to become a being worthy of his title of ‘Supreme’. He vows to correct the mistakes done. He vows to end his beloved wives’ suffering.
- As his understanding of the nature of his Agenda of Supremacy grows, Adam Kadmon discovers Sophia’s secret claim of the Agenda of Suffering. The discovery nauseates him, but he cannot help but fall in love with Sophia all over again. Still, he makes an oath to free his precious Eternal Child Maiden from her eternal agony.
- Adam Kadmon begins development of COSMO_INFERIA and of Cosmo_Superbia Protocol.
- 4th millennium BC: The three wives of Adam separately stimulate the growth of civilization in different fronts: Lilith in Sumer, Shekinah in Egypt and Sophia in current-day India.
- ~3150 BC: Unification of the Upper and Lower kingdoms of Egypt. Development of the Egyptian pantheon.
- 3rd millennium BC: Most angelic efforts were focused on the developing Egypt, where unrest was constant and pharaohs strove for divinity. In the mean time, Lilith’s influence swallowed the city-states of Mesopotamia under a mantle of endless conflict and constant warfare. Sophia leaves Raphael to watch over India, and the developing culture and religion there would impress the Archangel immensely. The third wife focuses her incarnations back to China, where she guided the deeds of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors.
- ~2700 BC: Lilith is defeated by the heroic mortal, Gilgamesh, and his best friend Enkidu, recovering the Existence of the former Ninlil-turned Instrumental Weapon and allowing the Sumerian goddess to be reborn. For this and their many other achievements, they are awarded with Supernal status upon their deaths. Enkidu, however, refuses, preferring instead to become his friend’s first and mightiest Instrumental Weapon.
- A weakened Lilith is surprised by Gabriel and forced to flee away from Sumer. With Lilith gone, the process of Sumerian progress and unification into a stable political body can begin.
- ~2270 BC: Sargon of Akkad defeated Lugal-zage-si of Uruk, took over Sumer, and created the Akkadian Empire. Birth of the Akkadian pantheon.
- Ownership of Dup Shimati is automatically transferred from Enlil to Ea, as the latter assumes leadership of the new pantheon.
- Gilgamesh battles and slays Enlil, who had been driven mad by his lust for power, Lilith’s corruptive influence in the guise of his wife and the loss of the Tablet of Destinies. Together with the reborn Ninlil and the god Shamash, they reforge the fallen god’s existence into a powerful Instrumental Weapon.
- ~2200 BC: First successful connection between COSMO_INFERIA and HEMINA_GRAL. Neither Sophia nor Shekinah notice this connection being made.
- 2183 BC: Neitiqerty Siptah, last pharaoh of the Sixth Dynasty, dwells on forbidden and forsaken lore. For his evil deeds and his pretense at achieving divine status, Gabriel slays him. However, Nitocris’ death was the last stage of his final and most powerful ritual. Neitiqerty becomes an Aeternal and swears vengeance on Gabriel. However, his identity is distorted with the passage of time and several errors in research, and he becomes the androgynous entity ‘Nitocris’. Gabriel seizes the pharaoh’s riches and develops the Reality Script Treasury of Nitocris.
- ~2150 BC: The Gutian barbarians defeat King Ur-Utu of Uruk.
- History repeats in Sumer. The moon god Nanna, son of Enlil and Lilith (in her guise of Ninlil), becomes a terrible tyrant hungry with power. He is thus slain by the unusual cooperation of Gilgamesh and the Archangel Gabriel.
- Gabriel then goes after Ninurta, Nanna’s brother, believing that all of Lilith’s children are tainted and dangerous. Gilgamesh protects the Lord of the Earth and forces Gabriel to retreat to the Higher Realms.
- Gilgamesh decides to stop Incarnating in Sumer and explore the vast world.
- ~2115 BC: The Gutians destroy Akkad, marking the beginning of the end for the Akkadian Empire.
- ~2050 BC: King Utu-hengal of Uruk defeats Gutian king Tirigan. End of the Akkadian Empire and beginning of the “Sumerian Renaissance.”
- Gilgamesh finishes development of Šarrum ša gimrütim tëmï ikšudu – Transcendence of the Root of Legends.
- 1940 BC: The Third Dynasty of Ur ends with their defeat by the Elamites. However, it would be the Amorites from the west (modern-day Syria) who would take over the region and rise to prominence. Emergence of the Assyro-Babilonian pantheon.
- ~1800 BC: Lilith returns to Mesopotamia to find the developing civilization of Babylonia. Her deeds corrupting, seducing and harming the children of Adam sowed fear among the common folk, and fed many legends that survive to this day. She leaves again after the fall of Babylon under the Hitites.
- ~1700 BC: Connections from COSMO_INFERIA and both HEMINA_URDR and HEMINA_GRAL are finished. Adam moves on to the tremendous challenge that is connecting his phantom server to SAMYA_JARA without Sophia noticing.
- While Incarnated in modern-day India, Sophia writes an extensive albeit very disorganized set of treatises on love and sensuality as a means for emotional and spiritual fulfillment, which would become the basis for the Kamashastra.
- 1600-600 BC: Birth and rise to prominence of the Greek pantheon. It emerged from the earlier Mycenaean religion and was further enriched during the Archaic Greek civilization with influences form eastern traditions.
- ~1500-1400 BC: Raphael participates in the Battle of the Ten Kings as Indra’s charioteer. His presence and influence will permeate the Vedic period of Hindu history.
- 1508-1479 BC: Sophia acts as nurse and teacher to the daughter of Pharaoh Thutmose II. Her young student would become Hatshepsut, one of the most successful pharaohs of ancient Egypt.
- 1300-950 BC: Development of the “Astra” set of Instrumental Weapons by the Hindi pantheon.
- ~1370-1330 BC: Lilith incarnates as Queen Nefertiti. She enjoys this short incarnation as a “vacation” of sorts.
- 1279-1212 BC: Reign of Ramesses II (The Great). After death he is exalted with Supernal status.
- 1225 BC: Death and elevation of the hero Heracles to Divinity status.
- The goddess Hecate develops Innate Script Boundary and crafts Heracles’ Reality Script, Dódekathlon, Dódekazoaí – Eternity Lies in One’s Deeds. Both her revolutionary development and the fact she managed to create a functional Script for someone else would exalt the chthonic Greek goddess would earn her the Supernal world’s praise as one of Reality’s greatest programmers.
- 1224 BC: Adam Kadmon appears before Hecate, much to her surprise. No wishing to rely on his Agenda of Supremacy or on the Akashic Records, he asks the goddess to teach him Innate Script Boundary. After the instruction, Adam promises to return her kindness one day. It was a promise that would be fulfilled in the Last Holy War…
- 1209 BC – The Days of Heroes Clashing: Gilgamesh meets the newly-exalted Heracles. The world trembles as the two epic heroes exchange pleasantries the only way they possibly could.
- The first day of uninterrupted combat ends with a tie. The two heroes laugh and drink together in the aftermath.
- The second day ends with Gilgamesh’ conclusive victory—after seeing Herakles’ twelve Instrumental Weapons the day before, he could then reproduce them and add them to the arsenal crafted by his Reality Script. Satisfied by the awesome fight, the two share a drink as brothers in battle before going their separate ways.
- 1194-1184 BC: Lilith and Sophia meet in Troy and witness the war. Sophia incarnates as Cassandra of Troy, daughter of Priam. Lilith is, of course, Helen.
- Sophia’s fate occurs as described in the epic tale. At the fall of Troy, Cassandra is violently abducted and raped by Ajax the Lesser. She is later given to Agamemnon in the distribution of war spoils. In Mycenae, she is murdered by Agamemnon’s cheating wife, Clytemnestra, and her lover, Aeghistus. Ajax the Lesser is slain by Athena, who recognized Cassandra as Sophia’s Incarnation.
- Rumors say that, when Adam Kadmon received the soul of Ajax the lesser, he demanded it to apologize for his impudence towards his beloved. When Ajax refused, declaring he had claimed what was his right as the victor, Adam scorned the poor soul and threw it in Hell to be tortured and tainted by the demonic horde. Only Adam himself knows the truth of this tale, but the fact remains that Ajax indeed became a demon at some point.
- Helen-Lilith abandons Menelaus soon after the end of the war to resume her wanderings.
- ~1030-960 BC: Lilith reincarnates as Bathsheba of the Tribe of Judah, mother of King Solomon of Israel, which makes her a direct ancestor of Jesus of Nazareth.
- 1045-256 BC: The Zhou Dynasty rules China, secretly guided by the efforts of Archangels Tzaphkiel and Michael.
- ~932 BC: Death of King Solomon. In his later years his wisdom and sanity had declined, heavily influenced by several succubi amongst his many wives and concubines. In addition, Moloch and other Archdemons had settled in Jerusalem, drawing people towards idolatry and self-destruction.
- Upon death, he is offered either the ordinary treatment for human souls (return to Adam Kadmon) or assimilation by the Supernal Wisdom, Sophia. Like Moses and his father before, Solomon chooses the latter. The essence of prophet, father and son become the foundation of Sophia’s most powerful Technique, a strange hybrid between an Instrumental Weapon and a Reality Script.
- Solomon’s association with Lilith (Abyzou) as described in the “Testament of Solomon” is obviously fake.
- 814 BC: Carthage is founded by Dido, incarnation of Kamael.
- 753 BC: According to tradition, Rome was founded on April 21 of this year by Romulus.
- 669 BC: In Heaven, Kamael decides to assist Tzaphkiel with the maintenance of the Akashic Records for a short while. As events in the Higher Realms are independently reflected in the Lower Realms (and vice versa) in mysterious manners, Argos defeats Sparta in the Battle of Hysiae with the invention of the phalanx.
- 667 BC: An incarnation of Sandalphon was amongst the Megaran colonists who founded Byzantium.
- ~660 BC – The Day of Tremors: The Lower Realms never realized how close they were to annihilation. Sophia succumbs to her loneliness and the stress of supporting the Supernal Structures. As the Foundations of Reality begin to fall apart, Shekinah takes over the Structures for exactly one day, minimizing the damaging effect of cosmic instability. The most notable scars left by this episode are the Kaali Impact Event (current-day Estonia), the climate change that struck Europe in the following decade, the end of the XXV Dynasty of Egypt, the rise of Cypselus as tyrant of Corinth and, curiously enough, the founding of Japan by Emperor Jimmu (which probably was not intended to happen just yet).
- ~632 BC – The Day of Eyes Opened: After the events of the Day of Tremors, the denizens of Heaven fear that Sophia might lose control of the Structures one day, and that the Structures might be too much for a single Supernal to bear. The chief Babylonian divinity, Marduk, expresses these doubts to Sophia, claiming that, with his power, he would be able to handle what she “obviously” cannot.
- Sophia contests that Marduk does not know what he speaks of, and that the civilization that worships him will not exist forever, unlike her power, which is pure and eternal. Marduk responds that, should he claim the Supernal Structures, he would immediately ensure that his worship persists until the end of times. Such insolence draws gasps from the entire Hierarchy of Heaven.
- Sophia’s following words will remain in the memory of Paradise forever: “Among my many titles, I have been named ‘Infinite Kindness’. My kindness is immense; especially so to my beloved. But do not be mistaken. Only the Great Father can claim infinity. My kindness is not so.” She urges Marduk to take back his words and leave her. Marduk instead challenges her with the Supernal Structures as the stakes. Sophia “sighed and respectfully declined the challenge.”
- In the following two decades, the Assyrian Empire unraveled and came to an end with the destruction of Nineveh in 612 BC. When Sophia was accused of tapering with the Thread of Destiny for personal purposes, the Eternal Maiden answered with a simple “But, Babylon still stands, does it not?”
- 630 BC: The Thread of Destiny authorizes Tzaphkiel’s proposal to stimulate the intellectual growth of Greek culture. In the following decades, the Seven Sages of Greece, as well as other Greek figures of note, are born. Similar projects are soon approved for China and India.
- ~600 BC: The Kurukshetra War in India.
- 586 BC: Jerusalem falls to the Babylonians. Captivity of the Jews under Nebuchadrezzar II of Babylon begins.
- 575 BC – The Day of Hope Lost: Lilith returns to Babylon for the last time. In the Hanging Gardens, she is met by Marduk, who remains resentful after The Day of Eyes Opened and the subsequent historical events. The god proposes an alliance with Lilith to overthrow Sophia’s control of the Supernal Structures and, indirectly, of history, time and space itself. When Lilith learns of the events that took place in Heaven, she attacks Marduk swiftly and mercilessly, annihilating him completely.
- This is the first and only known case of a divinity being destroyed before his cult.
- To prevent Marduk’s rebirth via the faith of his remaining followers, instead of obliterating his existence, she reshapes him in the form of Merodach, the End of All Hope. The weapon, however, crafted out of the existence of the mightiest of Gods (in his time) and powered by hatred, revenge and megalomania, soon proves to be too dangerous even for Lilith to wield. She casts it away, then, to the Limbo between Realms.
- 550 BC: Cyrus I establishes the Persian Empire. Development of Zoroastrianism.
- 539 BC: Babylon is conquered by Cyrus the Great. Two years later, the Jews are allowed to return to Jerusalem.
- 528 BC: Gautama Buddha achieves Enlightenment and begins his ministry.
- 514-496 BC: Kamael incarnates as King Helu of Wu. The Archangel learned substantially from his general, Sun Tzu.
- 509 BC: The Roman monarchy is overthrown. Beginning of the Roman Republic.
- ~500-479 BC: Sophia incarnates in China. She finds great enjoyment in debating with the sage, Kong Qiu.
- 499-459 BC: Many angels and demons intervene in the Greco-Persian Wars, sometimes even working together against angels and demons on the other side. Many betrayals and distribution of Agendas and power occurred during these 50 years. None of the Aspects of God participated, though.
- ~440 BC: Shekinah reincarnates as Cynisca of Sparta.
- Adam Kadmon successfully finished connecting COSMO_INFERIA to SAMYA_JARA. While working on the connections to HAPHVYASHTHARVA, he resumes efforts on finishing his Cosmo_Superbia Protocol.
- 431 BC – The Day of Tears: Having finished connecting COSMO_INFERIA to all the other Supernal Structures, Adam Kadmon decides to take a short break.
- Adam breaks the punishment imposed upon him and appears before an ecstatic Sophia and an elated but worried Shekinah. They love each other deeply and tenderly, until the Hosts of Heaven led by Metatron surround them in Edenia. Then, to everybody’s major surprise, Adam bids them farewell and disappears completely. The two wives are devastated.
- For the first time, the Hierarchy of Heaven truly understands the magnitude of Adam Kadmon’s power and his influence over Heaven. In his absence, the Eternal Static Realm of Paradise suddenly feels…gloomier, darker. Shekinah’s sadness and Sophia’s depression only add to the overall effect. The Hierarchy fears a situation even worse than The Day of Tremors.
- Adam’s departure is mirrored in the Lower Realms by the Peloponnesian War, the fall of Athens and the end of the Athenian Golden Age.
- Even Lilith, in her human incarnation, finds herself crying for no understandable reason that day.
- Sophia begins to incarnate more and more often after this day.
- ~400 BC: Emergence of the Norse pantheon.
- 356-323 BC: The life and deeds of Alexander the Great. Sophia silenced all rumors that he was Adam Kadmon incarnate. Regardless, many denizens of Heaven incarnated as his soldiers and followers, drawn by his auspicious destiny, as predicted by the Thread.
- Tzaphkiel, for example, was Lanike, young Alexander’s nurse. Kamael incarnated as Ptolemy, who would become one of Alexander’s Somatophylakes. Raziel had been fortunate to have incarnated some years earlier as Eumenes.
- The rumor of Alexander being Adam incarnate died when the young king also received Supernal status after death.
- The empire is put under the authority of Regent Perdiccas and the territories divided amongst Alexander’s generals (satraps) at the Partition of Babylon. Ptolemy becomes Satrap of Egypt and Eumenes receives Cappadocia and Paphlagonia.
- ~320 BC: Antigonus, Antipater, Craterus and Ptolemy join forces against Perdiccas. Failure to cross the Nile demoralizes Perdiccas’ troops, and the Regent is betrayed by his officers Peithon, Antigenes and Seleucus.
- The Macedonian Empire was redistributed in the Partition of Triparadisus.
- Seleucus receives Babylonia, but he soon begins an aggressive expansionist campaign that would give rise to the Seleucid Empire in 312 BC.
- 318 BC: Eumenes, wanted for being an ally of Perdiccas, is betrayed by his officers and executed by Antigonus.
- ~300-240 BC: Acamoth, daughter of Sophia, incarnates as Kaurwaki of Kalinga, future wife of Ashoka the Great.
- Around the same time period, Sophia herself incarnated several times in Greece, where she dabbled with the likes of Euclid, Archimedes, Zeno, Eratosthenes and Arcesilaus.
- Lilith and Sophia begin to travel together through their incarnations.
- 247 BC: Emergence of the Parthian (Arsacid) Empire in the Ancient Near East.
- 206-68 BC: At the behest of Sophia, Sandalphon subtly guides the early Han dynasty, helping pave the way to the Golden Age of China.
- 146 BC: Lilith & Sophia witness the fall of Carthage.
- Destruction of Corinth and conquest of Greece by the Roman Republic.
- 50 BC: Development of Cosmo_Superbia Protocol reaches an apparently unsurpassable wall. Adam puts this matter aside and turns back to his new Server. With the connections in the Higher Realms finished, he now needs to set up the framework to connect his COSMO_INFERIA to the Lower Realms. Unfortunately, he cannot simply Incarnate and handle it personally…
- 27 BC: End of the Roman Republic. The Roman Senate grants Octavian the title of Augustus. Beginning of the Roman Empire.
