The spear that supposedly pierced the side of Jesus Christ. It is the weapon used to confirm the death of an Incarnation of an Aspect of God, and it met no resistance when doing so. The significance of this simple act was enough to imbue the Instrumental Weapon with a powerful “anti-protection” concept.
Soaked in the blood of an entity above all entities, the blood of the Son of God, who is God. The Instrumental version of Lancea Longini is of a simple beauty appropriate to its origin and importance. The long handle is completely crimson, and is soft and smooth to the touch, different from any wood or metal known to man. It almost feels like plastic, but it’s also obvious that is not the case. As for the tip, it’s a one-foot-long narrow blade that tends to change color from a bloody scarlet to an ordinary metallic gray to an almost crystalline blue. The whole thing is approximately seven feet long.
While the weapon itself is not particularly strong, it is its special effect which makes it noteworthy. Lancea Longini ignores any physical or energy barrier with but a touch, as long as it was solely created for the only purpose of defending the opponent. It is not a “barrier breaker”—it simply “ignores the existence of barrier.” For example, Lancea Longini pierces through Sakuyamon’s barrier without trouble. However, if the same Sakuyamon hides behind a wall, Lancea Longini will notmove through the wall unhampered. Lancea Longini doesnot care about the nature or power level of the defense used, it will be ignored.
